Capability - CNC Turning

1 YAM CK5 CNC lathe - 390 dia x 930 between centers. Equipped with a wide range of tools for turning steel, aluminium and alloys.

This high precision CNC lathe allows us to carry out turning and boring to close tolerances. The CK5 allows us to carry out large diameter work in range of materials including aluminium HE30. We have a four jaw chuck facility which allows us to hold square or awkward shapes including cast iron and aluminium raw castings.

1 Colchester Mascot with gap bed swing 10.5" over the saddle x 84" between centers

The Mascot lathe allows us to turn both large diameter components as well as long shafts and rollers to close tolerances with high precision. We do both turning and boring on this machine which is equipped with a large oversized face plate and large roller steady with 4 jaw chuck. The lathe also has an Anjust screw cutting attachement for internal & external thread cutting.

1 Colchester Student 6.5" x 34" between centers.

The Colchester Student is equipped with a 3 and 4 jaw chuck system as well as a collet facility. Both lathes are fitted with digital readout.
